Documents to be attached with Student Visa Applications

  1. Printed copy of properly filled up online application form with signature and photo of the applicant – (www.indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa)
  2. Two recent Passport size photos (51mm x 51mm) not older than Three months, no uniform, with white background with DARK DRESS and frontal view. Eyebrows, Ears, forehead chin to be completely visible. Clarity of the photo is very important - Edited, blurred or unclear photos should not be accepted.
  3. Original passport valid for the period applied for/duration of the course and having three blank visa pages.
  4. Residence proof (More than 2 years residence in Papua New Guinea / Solomon Islands).
  5. Admission letter in original duly signed and stamped with contact details from an Indian university/school or higher educational institution confirming the admission to a particular full-time course of study including detailed curriculum, course duration etc.
  6. A bonafide certificate from the concerned educational institution in India (Institution for higher education should be recognized by UGC/AICTE).
  7. Photocopies of all educational documents related to the applied course and Birth Certificate (Original should be brought for verification).
  8. In case of minors, NOC from both parents and their passport copies are required.
  9. No Objection Certificate from the concerned Embassy (in case of other than Papua New Guinean national) is required.
  10. Proof of availability of sufficient money to spend during the stay in India including the expenses for hostel and tuition fees.
  11. The guarantor (generally the parent(s)) should bring photocopy of his/her identity card(s) and last four months bank statement along with original and sign the undertaking form in presence of the consular officer.
  12. If the parent(s) do not reside in Papua New Guinea or cannot come to the Embassy for any reason, the applicant must give reason in writing for another relative or guardian to be accepted as guarantor by the Embassy. In their application, the applicant will also provide relationship with the relative or guardian. It is the discretion of the Embassy to accept financial guarantee from a person other than parents.
  13. In case of sponsorship of higher education from the State Government, a letter in original duly stamped and signed with contact details of the officer concerned.
  14. Students Visa Undertaking Letter, Parents/Guardian Undertaking Letter
  15. All pages of the documentation submitted should be self-attested by the applicant.
  16. The Embassy/Consulate reserves the right to ask for additional documents.
  17. Submission of application along with prescribed fee does not guarantee issuance of visa.
  18. Applicants are requested NOT to finalize their travel plans before Visa issuance
  19. If applicant intends to stay in India more than 180 days consecutively, he/ she has to register at the FRRO or FRO within 14 days from arrival.
  20. 20. APPLICANT MUST SUBMIT/PROVIDE GENUINE DOCUMENTS/DETAILS. IN CASE OF FORGED DOCUMENTS AND DETAILS IN THE APPLICATION FORM VISA WILL BE REFUSED.
